OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453 Aerial lifts; 1926.454, 1926.502, 1926.503 & 1910.67 Vehicle-Mounted Elevating and Rotating Work Platforms; 1910.269 and ANSI/SIA A92.2–2018 ANSI/SAIA Safe Use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms(MEWPs) & ANSI/SAIA A92.24-2018 Training Requirements for the use, Operation, Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs)

This course will cover the responsibilities of owners, supervisors, and operators. It will cover hazards from uneven surfaces, falling, electric shock, equipment collapse, inclement weather, nearby work, inexperience or improper operation, mechanical defects, overloading, electrocution, overextension, nearby work, inclement weather, inexperience or improper operation, mechanical defects, and inadvertent operation.

OSHA states that only trained and authorized persons are allowed to operate aerial or scissor lifts. This combination Aerial Lift and Scissor Lift course will provide training and certification in the OHSA and ANSI required safety concepts and the procedures to help reduce workplace accidents and provides documentation of training.

This course satisfies the training requirements for the OSHA 29 CFR OSHA regulations applicable to aerial boom lifts are: 29 CFR 1910.67, 1910.269; 1926.453, 1926.454, 1926.502, and 1926.503.

Course topics include:

• explanations of electrical, fall, and falling object hazards; • procedures for dealing with hazards; • maximum intended load and load capacity; • inadequate ceiling heights and overhead obstructions; • drop-offs, holes, or unstable surfaces such as loose dirt, slopes, ditches, or bumps; • debris and floor obstructions; • high wind and other severe weather conditions; • hazardous atmospheres; • frequent and periodic inspections; • maintenance; • record keeping; • safe work practices; • vehicle stability; • training requirements; • fall protection regulations & equipment for both articulating booms and Scissor Lifts.

*This training course includes the Driving Performance Test (required by OSHA).
